Finally, on July 9th, the deities of Shree Radha Krishna were infused with a breath of life during the Pran Prathishta Ceremony. Swami Mukundananda and the pandits performed special poojas to request the Supreme Lord to be established in all his deities. Every devotee who received the first darshan of the divine deities that day experienced a surge of grace flowing through the temple.
Festival Celebrations
In a very short period, Radha Krishna Temple’s grand festival celebrations have become the sought-after getaway for families in the DFW area. Every year, the “Holi Hungama” festival attracts thousands of people to celebrate Holi with their friends and families and enjoy special dance, music, and fun activities. Ever since the Temple opened its doors to visitors, the Radha Krishna Temple community has celebrated all festivals like Janmashtami, Radhashtami, Navratri, Mahashivratri, Tulsi Vivah, and Ganesh Chaturthi with great love and devotion. The Temple is actively reaching out to the residents in Dallas and places around to add the spark of festivities in their lives and spend quality time with their families, friends, and the community at large.
Building Ornamentation
Artisans have been laboring for several years to make the exquisitely beautiful ornamentation that adorns the temple building. The ornamentation has been installed according to the Shilpi shastras which are scriptures that dictate guidelines for Hindu temple architecture. All the ornamentation is symbolic and installed in different areas purposefully and carries deep meaning. The design and fabrication of all the ornamentation for the temple was done by hand and remains unique to this temple. The handcast and sculpted stonework takes years to complete. Sculpted carvings and relief work are located all around the temple building, both inside and outside.
Darshan of the Deities
Lord Shiv and Ganesh ji are located on the 2nd-floor balcony just outside the 2nd-floor main entrance. Walk up the grand marble staircase for darshan before entering the building, or take the elevator from the 1st to the 2nd floor and take a right outside the main front doors on the 2nd floor for darshan.
Shri Radha Krishna, the main temple deities, are located at the main altar directly ahead of you as you enter the 2nd-floor prayer hall doors. The altar of Sita, Ram, and Hanumanji is inside the prayer hall.
